Your best six count.

You don't have to play perfectly every time.

  • Play as often as you like during the Club season.
  • Only your 6 best official net rounds count – your Best Six.
  • A stronger round later replaces a weaker one.
  • With fewer than 6 official rounds you're still chasing and can't qualify yet.
  • With six, your Best Six sets your position in your Club Race.

Your club rounds can count too

You don't have to play every qualifying round separately.

If your golf club runs an approved SCRAMBL² qualifier, your result can automatically count toward your Championship qualification when:

  • the event is 9 holes;
  • it is a 2-player SCRAMBL² Net event;
  • you play with your registered Championship partner;
  • your result becomes Official.

No extra submission is needed. If the result qualifies, SCRAMBL² automatically includes it in your Championship results.

07Club Race

Your Club Race.
Your way through.

Regional Final qualification happens in your home club's Club Race. Your Best Six sets your position there. Regional and national rankings show performance – the Club Race decides qualification.

  • First Regional Final place at 10 participating teams.
  • Second place at 25.
  • Then one more place for every 15 additional participating teams.
  • No upper limit on places.
  • Only valid paid, non-test teams with at least one valid official Club Phase round count. Withdrawn, refunded, disqualified and invalid teams do not count.
  • Six official rounds are needed to qualify. Legitimately earned places survive ordinary withdrawals and freeze on official Club Phase finalisation; invalid participation cannot preserve them.

  • About 3.6% of all participating Championship teams nationwide.
  • Rounded to the nearest block of 6 teams.
  • At least 36, at most 144 teams.
  • Never more than the confirmed Regional Final participants.

You're in. Now it's about the title.

Qualifying for the Deutschlandfinale means you're in the German Final. What comes next is Stage 1 of the Deutschlandfinale – not another qualifying event.

12Deutschlandfinale: Stage 1

First, the cut.

72 teams or fewer

  • One 18-hole course – everyone plays the same course.
  • Top 25% advance to the Championship Round, rounded up.
  • 36 teams → 9 · 60 → 15 · 72 → 18

More than 72 teams

  • Course A and Course B, split as evenly as possible – with an odd total, Course B gets one extra team.
  • Qualifiers from every Regional Final are spread evenly across both courses. Results from different Regional venues are not compared.
  • Each course is its own field: the top 25% of each course advance, rounded up.

Course A and Course B may play differently. So each course decides its own Championship Round qualifiers.

13The cut line

Top 25%. Or playoff.

  • Stage 1 is 18 holes, net scoring. Lowest net score ranks highest.
  • A tie that doesn't cross the cut needs no playoff.
  • A tie across the cut line? The tied teams play off for the remaining place(s).
  • No countback. No random draw.
  • With two courses, each course runs its own playoff for its own places.

17 teams are safely through. Five teams share 18th place.

Those five play off for the last place in the Championship Round.

14Championship Round

Back to zero.

Now the German Champion is decided.

  • Every team that survives Stage 1 enters the Championship Round.
  • One Championship field on the designated Championship course.
  • A fresh 18-hole net score. Everyone starts at 0.
  • Stage 1 scores are not carried forward.
  • Stage 1 position does not break ties.
  • Lowest net score wins. A tie for the title goes to a playoff.

Stage 1 gets you into the Championship Round. The Championship Round decides the title.

The winner is German SCRAMBL² Champion.
