SCRAMBL² is Germany’s national amateur 2-Man Scramble championship. Play nine-hole rounds at your home club, build your Best Six, earn a Regional Final place through your Club Race, and compete for a place in the German Final.

Any amateur golfer aged 14 or older who belongs to a golf club and holds an official handicap of 54 or lower may enter. Both partners must nominate the same home club. Players aged 14–17 need parent or guardian consent.

You must be at least 14 years old.

Yes. Men’s, women’s, mixed, adult-and-junior, and junior partnerships all compete in the same championship structure.

Yes. Both golfers must belong to and nominate the same home club for the season. Your club-season rounds are played there, and your Club Race determines your Regional Final qualification path.

No. Your 2-Man partnership is permanent for that season and must progress together from the Club Season through any Regional Final and German Final.

No. There are no substitutes, emergency replacements, or replacement partners. If one player cannot compete at a Final, the team cannot compete and the place may roll down where the rules allow.

Both partners play a shot, choose the better ball, and both play again from that position. Continue choosing and playing from the selected ball until it is holed.

A club-season SCRAMBL² round is exactly nine holes.

Yes. Choose holes 1–9 or holes 10–18. Custom nine-hole combinations are not permitted.

You play alongside another registered SCRAMBL² team from the same home club: four registered golfers and two teams. The teams confirm one another’s round.

No. It is not match play. Each team plays for its own score and championship position while playing alongside and confirming the other team.

As many as you want during the Club Season, subject to your club’s normal access and tee-time rules.

Yes. SCRAMBL² does not limit you to one round per day.

Yes. You may replay the front nine or back nine.

Yes. You may play repeatedly with the same registered team from your home club.

Yes. The scorer records whose tee shot is selected for every hole, including par threes.

At least two selected tee shots from each player in every nine-hole club-season round.

The round is invalid. It does not count toward Best Six, rankings, or qualification, and it is not shown publicly as a competitive result.

The four golfers choose one scorer. That person records both teams’ hole scores and selected tee shots. The scoring role can be passed to another participating golfer if needed.

After the scorer submits both completed scorecards, a golfer from the other team reviews them and chooses Confirm or Request Correction. The scorer cannot confirm their own submission.

Only after a golfer from the other team confirms the submitted score. Time alone never makes a round official.

During play, the scorer can correct an earlier hole. After submission, the other team can request a correction; the score is corrected, resubmitted, and confirmed again.

The round can be marked disputed and reviewed by SCRAMBL². It stays frozen and does not affect official standings until the dispute is resolved.

SCRAMBL² combines both players’ handicaps to create one Team Handicap for the round. For club-season nine-hole rounds, the system automatically converts the players’ declared handicaps to the approved nine-hole SCRAMBL² calculation and applies the competition allowance. You do not need to calculate it yourself. SCRAMBL² does it automatically before the round starts. The detailed calculation will be available in the Competition Rules.

An official golf handicap is required. The maximum handicap for entry is 54, while no more than 36 per player is used in the SCRAMBL² calculation.

Plus handicaps remain plus in the calculation. They are not changed to zero.

Play as many eligible rounds as you like. Once you have six official net rounds, SCRAMBL² automatically counts your six best results to create your Best Six total and Club Race position.

No. A seventh or later official round replaces your weakest counting result only when the new result is better. Every round remains in your history, but only the best six count.

No. Germany Top 20 celebrates national performance. Regional Final qualification is earned only through your Club Race.

No. Region Top 20 compares performance across the Region. It does not replace the Club Race qualification pathway.

Complete at least six valid official rounds to enter your Club Race. Your Best Six determines your club position, and the teams inside your club’s qualification places earn Regional Final invitations when the Club Season closes. Both players must accept the invitation.

Every started block of 15 registered teams gives your club one Regional Final place: 1–15 teams earn 1 place; 16–30 earn 2; 31–45 earn 3; 46–60 earn 4, and so on with no maximum. The number can change while registration is open and becomes final when the Club Season closes. Your Club Race shows the current authoritative number.

SCRAMBL² first compares the six counting rounds from best to worst. If teams remain exactly tied for a qualification place, they play a three-hole aggregate net scramble playoff, repeating in three-hole blocks until the place is decided.

The same permanent 2-Man team plays an 18-hole scramble at its assigned Regional Final venue. German Final places are on the line, and the familiar four-golfer, two-team scoring and confirmation process continues.

Teams earn places through their assigned Regional Final venue. Each venue will publish how many German Final places it offers before Regional competition begins. The exact national allocation formula is not yet locked.

The target field is 144 teams and 288 golfers for a two-day national championship. Friday includes arrival and the Welcome Dinner. On Saturday, all 144 teams play 18 holes. The top 36 advance to Sunday’s final 18, and the German Championship is decided by the cumulative 36-hole net score. Venue and dates will be announced separately.

After Saturday’s 18 holes, the top 36 teams advance. Scores do not reset: Sunday is added to Saturday for the cumulative 36-hole result.

If there are not enough Sunday places for every team tied at the cut line, those teams play a three-hole aggregate playoff. Further three-hole blocks are played until the required places are decided.

Keep playing and scoring. Once the round is available on the scorer’s device, scores and corrections can be saved there and sent when the connection returns. Poor reception alone must not invalidate legitimate golf.

Yes, when technology fails completely. Keep a complete physical score record, including selected tee shots. An eligible participating golfer can enter both cards after play, and the other team must still review and confirm them before the round becomes official.

A legitimate weather or course stoppage does not count toward Best Six or qualification. The same round may resume only on the same day. If it cannot resume that day, it closes as Weather Stopped or Course Stopped and a later meeting requires a new round.

The SCRAMBL² team entry is €79 total per team for the season. One payment covers both players. This is the final consumer price and includes 19% VAT. Regional Final entry and the German Final tournament experience are included if your team qualifies. Travel, accommodation, personal expenses and optional practice rounds are separate. Season and event dates will be announced separately.
